Looking to live by learning!

Throughout the years I've gotten most of my job leads from these two places.  I self taught myself and in early 2000's started Mystery Shopping and now I do food demos full-time for a large national grocery chain.

 1. www.narms.com  which stands for 'National Association for Retail Marketing Services'  Go there and fill out a profile at 'Log into your Rep page'. Since you don't (yet) have a rep profile, you will need to create one. When there were words (acronyms ei., POG) I didn't know the meaning of, I GOOGLE'D them.  These are real, reputable companies that need Mystery Shoppers, Auditors, Trainers, Demo Event Personnel, and Re-set Specialists, full-time and part-time.  You really have to apply, instructions are given and alot of times it is almost totally done over the internet and FAX. Sometimes drug tests are required, all at the companies expense.  NARMS audits their ads, so there are no SCAMS.  If you have to pay to get work, it is a SCAM.

2 . www.volition.com  This site is an amazing font of information, coupons, free stuff, job leads, blogs, chat forums, and click-thru leads........etc.  Ray gives tons of info regarding jobs and you can go to the forums to find out abut the jobs, get help or leave feedback about the company....good or bad to help each other out.

Contact me anytime for ideas, leads or any 'thinking outside the box' you might have.

We are Americans that stand up to terrorist's and never back down, so now we have to again dig in our heels and with each other at our backs, prayer to our Lord, friends and family, we will overcome. Blessings...........

Pray for and support our soldiers.

Why are the employees of Bell Helicopter (Euless, Texas) on STRIKE?  Bell is the largest manufacturer of fighting machines for our soldiers.  They are contracted by the government and they are union employees.  There is something very wrong here.  Could it be they are unhappy with their working conditions, or maybe they aren't getting paid enough?  Whatever they can answer or however they can justify their being on strike, how will they look a soldier in the eye and explain?

Whatever your complaint is, please suck it up and go back to work (if just one of you would stand up and be counted)......

Pray for and support our soldiers.

Defeating Age

Ageless Italian beauty Sophia Loren once said,

"There is a fountain of youth - it is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of the people you love. When you learn to tap this source, you will have truly defeated age."

Hope I don't have to live anther 40 or 50 yrs in this poverty.  Only way to get any relief is to call in DEAD to work.   LOL

What's on your heart and mind today?

I am invisable...........invisable in many aspects of my life ........invisable until someone needs something.  I get eaten alive at work, someone always needing a piece of me...would be okay, got alot to give, but no one ever gives back.  Come home to my sacred space to cry a river alone.

Have I been foresaken?

About chefdiva

I work full time...Ha......in this economy that is only 32 or 35 hours a week.  Also manage to find work Merchandising on-line that I can self-assign for an additional 2 to 5 hours a week.

I'm so lucky, I do manage to pay bills, but barely. These are bills I have to pay or else.

Rent and renters insurance = $575,

GEXA electric = $50-100 (sweat or freeze),

AT&T cell, FAX phone line for work and internet = $250 combined,

College tuition = $260,

Car payment and insurance = $300

and I only bring home $1,100+-.

As you can see there is nothing left for even the essentials like food for me and gas for the car.  Certainly none for fun stuff like a Blockbuster movie rental or any girly stuff, maybe getting my brows done or feminine hygiene needs.  Don't need alot of stuff, not high maintenance, but I do like food.  Right now I eat at work since demoing food is my job. Guess it is a fine line between stealing and just making too much and how I dispose of the left-overs.  I spend $5 a month for popcorn from Wal-Mart to eat when I'm home.  One of my fav dinners is angelhair pasta, EVOO and a squeeze of fresh lime juice.  Trying to be frugal and conservative as I know and pray that my day will come and I will be blessed.

I have been struggling for the past 10 years.  When money comes in, more than needed at least, it is saved up for a rainy day but there have been too many rainy days.  Have tried to 'pay it forward' when I am and so I had a homeless guy sleeping in my den for awhile, helped get him work where I work, a car, cell phone, etc.  He has his own apartment now, a great job and has been able to reconnect with his kids. How great is that?

Need eye glasses...........thru work they are over $500, insurance is only picking up $170.  Needless to say....I will manage without glasses for the time being.

Have decided that I need to aggressively search for a better job.  Been spending hours sending out resumes, going to job fairs, etc. all the while combining  performing Mystery Shops or Merchandising jobs to conserve gas. Focusing on Health and Government for jobs.  We know those are never going to go away.

Well, any advice, a comment or note is welcomed. Thanks............and many Blessing to you
